Floor Care/Restoration

What is Floor Care?

Professional floor care consists of stripping and waxing as well as floor restoration. Commercial floors are covered in layers of wax to protect them from getting scratched and damaged. After a while, these wax layers get scuffed and dirty. When we restore these floors we use commercial-grade chemicals and equipment to "strip" off the damaged layers of wax and then replace it with fresh wax. This process creates a clean and shiny look on the floor.

How Often Should Commercial Floors be Stripped and Waxed?

The recommended timeframe to get commercial floors restored is every six months to ensure that the floors stay pristine. Although this is the recommendation, businesses will typically get their floors stripped and waxed every year.

What is the Proper Way to Strip and Wax Floors?

Stripping and waxing floors can be a difficult system to master so it's important to understand how to do it correctly. It requires an intense amount of instruction. It is always a good start to move any furniture or really anything that will be obstructing your path while you are stripping. Next, lay down the stripper. Then you scrub the floor with a machine and go along the edges with scrapers and hand scrubbers. Once you make sure all the scuff marks are up, you can clean up the residue. Rinse the floor. Finally, lay down your fresh wax.
